Des Moines, Iowa Aug 24, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - Nexus Nova Innovations (NNI), a developer of advanced hovercar technology based in Des Moines, Iowa, has announced the appointment of Anthony J. Parkinson as Executive Chairman.
Parkinson is an international entrepreneur and senior executive with a distinguished career spanning finance, sports, consumer products, and technology. Parkinson is one of the co-founders of Kronos, Inc. (now UKG), served as a General Partner of the Stanley Cup champion New York Islanders, and held senior leadership roles at Hasbro, including Senior Vice President Europe. Parkinson began his career on Wall Street, specializing in leveraged buyout transactions.
Anthonys global experience and entrepreneurial leadership will be critical as NNI enters its next phase of growth, said Eleazar Amoussou, Co-Founder and CEO of Nexus Nova Innovations. His vision and passion for mobility aligns perfectly with our mission to pioneer sustainable, next-generation transportation.
In addition to his new role with NNI, Parkinson is actively engaged in other ventures advancing human well-being and sustainability, including:
- OXbyEL Technologies: One of the leading innovators in the Forever Chemical PFAS detection, collection, and destruction field. Their current pilot deployment has come about through Parkinsons initiative and connections.
- SorbiForce: Supporting the development of the worlds first sustainable battery, created by Ukrainian engineers and currently scaling in Phoenix.
- Climate Hive: Elevating sustainability initiatives through webinars, podcasts, business development, and the What Do You Solve? entrepreneurial interview series.
Nexus Nova is finalizing the development of its flagship hydrogen-powered autonomous-capable model. Morgan Stanley projects that the addressable market for urban flight will exceed $1.0 trillion by 2040. Urban air mobility represents opportunities within infrastructure, fleet management, and technical innovation. Using electrical ducted fans and downwash reduction tech, the first generation of these vehicles hover six to 12 inches above the ground when driving. Only NHTSA certification is required, significantly lowering costs of regulation.
The second generation being developed concurrently will seamlessly scale to full aerial mobility reaching an altitude of 200 feet. The AI driven multi-sensor navigation system integrates LIDAR, radar, GPS, and real time imaging for controlled urban flight scenarios. NNI is seriously engaged with FAA, DOT, and NHTSA regarding aerial safety and regulatory requirements.
In 1940, automaker Henry Ford said, Mark my words, a combination airplane and motorcar is coming. Fast forward to 2025: It is here.
