Atakan, you began your career at the incredibly young age of 16. What initially sparked your passion for hairstyling, and what were the biggest challenges you faced as a young professional in the industry? Being around hairdressers who were the best since I was a child always inspired me to become who I am today.
Can you describe the moment you realized you had a talent for hairstyling and how you honed your skills in those early years? At high school, when I was doing the hairdressing course.. I wanted to style and change everyone's hai,r and I was making so many beautiful hair looks on the girls, which they couldnt stop coming for more and I had the whole class line up to do hair with me, and I was wondering why they all wanted me to do their hair? Then they wouldnt stop telling me how good I was, which gave me a huge boost in myself for the hairdressing world.
Dubai is known for its opulence and high-profile clientele. How did you establish yourself in such a competitive market, and what strategies did you employ to attract your first royal clients? I did hair tutorial videos online with transformative WOW hair makeovers, which left my audience speechless, and they got shared by millions and billions of pages online on the trendiest popular pages where big peopl, even celebrities, were able to reach out to me for my work. So I was very lucky in that sense, I reached out to the right people and audience for sure, thanks to these accounts online.
Working with royalty must come with immense pressure. Could you share some of the unique demands and expectations that come with styling the hair of royals? It can be very hard and a struggle, but its definitely a big achievement for me and I would always talk very highly of my experiences with them. They are very special people to me and I would always treat them the same as everyone else. They love my work so I like to stay true to them and myself at all times.
What are some of the most memorable or challenging hairstyles you've created for your royal clients, and what was the process like in bringing those visions to life? It was incredible and very rewarding for me personally, even though it was a mission to get through it.

Can you describe the level of discretion and confidentiality required when working with royal clients, and how do you maintain that trust? I just dont have comments or talk about it as they are very private people and I respect that in all ways of form as its their life. I just wish to create inspirational looks for them as a creative artist that could leave a big, magical, dreamy impact on their lifestyle..
How has your understanding of hair care and styling evolved over the years, and what are some of the latest trends and techniques you're currently excited about? Pony tails with volumed curly waves on models or clients is one of the most amazing look I think.
What role does cultural sensitivity play in your work, especially when styling the hair of clients from diverse backgrounds and traditions? It can play a big role in every way for sure, It can be very wide, which I love this perspective.
Beyond the technical skills, what personal qualities do you believe are essential for success in the high-end hairstyling industry? Good manners, good customer service skills, good talking skills to create impactful, high-end hair designs for royal customers.
What are some of the biggest misconceptions people have about the life of a celebrity or royal hairstylist? They can do everything super fast and quickly due to the amount that they are being paid.
How has your personal life been affected by your demanding career, and how do you balance your professional and personal responsibilities? It hasnt affected my life or career at the time at all, it has been a rewarding experience, and well-balanced personal life within my line of work.
Can you share any anecdotes or behind-the-scenes stories that offer a glimpse into the lives of your royal clients? I am not allowed to talk about anything so this is going to be quite a hard one for me to be honest. I would love to share all the experiences but I am not allowed to talk about it on a personal level has been agreed upon since working with them.
What advice would you give to young aspiring hairstylists who dream of working with high-profile clients? Work hard and stay positive and strong to reach out to the right people, so you can grab their attention, as its a pleasure to work with such big authorities.
How has the rise of social media and digital platforms impacted your work, and how do you use these tools to showcase your talent and build your brand? I always use them by posting trendiest hair tutorials and makeovers to showcase my talent of work to the world as its where it is talked about social media brings out your work and gets it featured everywhere in todays world we live in.
What are your thoughts on the future of the hairstyling industry, and what innovations or changes do you anticipate in the coming years? I think its a very good positive space to be in, and the future it holds is a special innovation I couldnt talk too much about this as it changes every day what can be done in our career so stay tuned for changes in the industry of beauty and hair.
Looking back on your career, what are you most proud of accomplishing, and what are some of the biggest lessons you've learned along the way? Working with the royals, travelling on the plane to go to them always from Australia to create inspiring colours and hair designs for them for their events they had going on was a big accomplishment for me at the time itself.
What are your future aspirations and goals, both professionally and personally? Do you have any plans to expand your business or explore new ventures? I surely do, when the time is right I want to do everything for my brand when I found the right team and people who want to invest into my brand I will love to create my own hair colour product care line for the world to purchase in creative hair design and daily life adventures.
Can you describe the most rewarding aspect of your job, and what motivates you to continue pushing the boundaries of your craft? You can do anything in this job, you can stand out however you want too and thats what I love about it. Your vision and creativity can talk in big speech hence why it motivates me to push boundaries always.
How do you stay inspired and creative, and what sources of inspiration do you draw upon to fuel your work? By following the people that inspire me every day since I was young at the age of 16 today at 31 they still inspire me and that way I get fuelled to create more intensive work by watching their artwork come to place and my creativity talks for itself in making visionary work on models and clients.
What is the one piece of advice you would give to your younger self, knowing what you know now about the industry and your career? Stay motivated no matter what happens at all times as its a growing industry.
