Monk, a board-certified gynecologic oncologist, as the Medical Director of the Late-Stage Clinical Research Program at the FCS West Palm Beach location. Prior to joining FCS in 2024, Dr. Monk served as director and principal investigator for HonorHealth at the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he also served as the site research leader for Sarah Cannon Research Institute. Among his numerous academic appointments, he most recently served as a professor on the Clinical Scholar Track at The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix.

After receiving his Medical Degree, graduating at the top of his class, from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, Dr. Monk completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of California, Los Angeles, and was the recipient of two fellowships, one in gynecologic oncology and one in medical genetics.

Board-certified in gynecologic oncology and recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Monk is a Fellow of several prestigious organizations, including the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Gynecological and Obstetrical Society, and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. In addition, he is a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, the Western Association of Gynecologic Oncology, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research, the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, the Daniel Morton Society, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Dr. Monk has an extensive background in clinical research, having served as a principal investigator for numerous groundbreaking studies focused on the prevention and treatment of gynecologic cancers. His leadership in establishing clinical research programs in community oncology settings has been pivotal in advancing treatment options and improving patient outcomes.
