Tianmen, Hubei Nov 27, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - This morning, the Tianmen sub-venue of the 25th Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China (commonly known as the Hua Chuang Hui) officially kicked off. With the theme Overseas Chinese Gather in Tianmen, Building a Strategic Hub Together Advancing a New Era of Overseas Chinese Hometowns, the event featured the appointment of Overseas Investment Promotion Ambassadors and the signing of industrial projects. By leveraging global overseas Chinese networks, the conference aims to inject fresh momentum into Tianmens advantageous sectors, including textile & apparel and new materials.
As Chinas largest inland hometown of overseas Chinese, Tianmen appointed multiple overseas Chinese community leaders and business representatives as Overseas Investment Promotion Ambassadors, establishing a long-term mechanism for international investment promotion and expanding channels for opening-up.
Wu Libin, Chairman of Colin Singapore Pte Ltd, expressed that he will actively fulfill his role as an ambassador, share Tianmens story with the world, and attract more overseas investors.
Wei Yifeng, Supervisor General of the Cambodia Hubei Chushang General Chamber of Commerce, noted Tianmens strong clustering advantage in the garment industry and plans to build an overseas warehouse in Cambodia to help Tianmens apparel products expand into global markets more rapidly.
During the project signing session, several major projects focusing on textiles & apparel, new materials, and new energy were successfully finalized.
Jiang Xiaoyang, Executive Director and General Manager of Hubei Lihe Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., announced that the company will invest 500 million yuan to build a Li-ion battery PACK production and recycling project in Tianmen. Once in full operation, the project is expected to generate over 10 billion yuan in production capacity, significantly enhancing the competitiveness of the regional new energy industry chain.
Yang Qi, Executive Vice President of the China Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs, praised Tianmens business environment and pharmaceutical industry foundation, stating that the federation will deepen and broaden its practical cooperation with Tianmen.
According to official statistics, the Tianmen sub-venue of this years Hua Chuang Hui signed a total of 15 projects, with a combined investment of 6.582 billion yuan. This landmark event not only provides an efficient platform for overseas Chinese to return and invest but also propels Tianmen to leverage its unique overseas Chinese advantages, taking solid steps forward in industrial upgrading and international cooperation.
